Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Dr. Ibe Kachikwu on Thursday said the federal government is vigorously driving the process for the passage of the various component of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) as part of efforts to ensure stability of the environment oil majors and other stakeholders operate.
Kachikwu said efforts are on to unveil the new national gas policy and a road map for the petroleum industry.
The minister said this at the 1st PTDF Oil Exploration and Production Companies Summit held in Abuja.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry Dr. Jamila Shua’ra, Kachikwu assured the majors that their input will be needed to contribute to the critical process.
